At first I didn't care too much for this story most likely due to the uptown girl image which the narrator had down to a T. A snotty rich girl that at first sight was over the top. I was very, very wrong Bellamy at first comes across this way the narrator does a wonderful job of making her seem like this. However once the book takes off you find she isn't anything but a wonderful girl who is really unhappy in her job. She might come across as looking down at you but she really isn't. She is a down to earth lady who is just finding her way as she gets over a bad break up. If you love small town romances as I do you will love this.Casey Holloway narration wasn't bad she does a great job giving you the rich girl tones and the lowly boy who is poor. I didn't hear any breaks it was a pretty even read. There is not any background noise. Her character voices are pretty good and I thought she did a great job. I really didn't care for the snotty girl but they grow on you. They seemed younger than what I think the author wanted them to be. All in all I thought she did a good job and would listen to more audios by this narrator.Bellamy might have left town to get away for a week of peace but what she does is reflect on her life, her ex and her job. She will make life changing choices before the week is through. All with getting to know one bullhead man who gets her motor started. I thought she was a good character who grows on you. At first she is a turn off and it is most likely due to the narrator. She really is a sweet down to earth lady that came from money and only wants to make her family happy. She has wonderful friends who stands by her and will move heaven and earth to help her through hard times. I think most of us would love to have friends like this.Shane is just a dream man who has all the right moves. He is hiding a few things and needs to work out some issues but with the right women he just might find out life isn't as bad as he thinks. He doesn't care for rich snotty women and pushes Bellamy away even though she turns him on he just can't see anything happening. Once things take off with Bellamy he really needs to come clean. Like most men they never do what they should which usually gets them in major trouble. It was interesting to watch this play out.The author gives you a wonderful story of what you see isn't what you get. She adds humor to keep you smiling as she entertains you with some major twists. From the first page you will smile and keep smiling throughout the read. This was a fun loving read that does have some major heartache. Both will have to learn to trust and give back as well as get over the past and move on. The author gives you some very passionate scenes which are very heated. I do have to admit I was hooked and had a hard time putting it away. I had to know the ending so I found things to do around the house so I could finish this tonight. You will be surprised how things play out and you won't even see it coming. The supporting characters are outstanding. I found this to be a believable read with believable characters. I can't wait to listen to a few others I have by this author. If you love to read Jill Shalvis, then you are going to love Kimberly Kincaid. Especially if you like small town romances. This is the first full length book in the Pine Mountain series and it's fantastic. I can't wait to get my hands on the next two novels in the series.I absolutely love this book, Shane Griffin and Bellamy Blake are two of my new favourite characters. Though some of the secondary characters in Jackson, Holly, Jenna and Grady are fighting for that spot. This book sucked me in from the beginning and I didn't want to put it down till I was done, so good bye real life and hello Pine mountain. Why wouldn't it, when you have the super hot mechanic Shane and his best friend Jackson, the blonde bombshell in Bellamy and her friends Jenna and Holly. Add in the combustible chemistry between Shane and Bellamy and you get a perfect weekend read. This is a fun, flirty, easy, hot read. I loved the banter and easiness between these two characters. Even in the heavier moments, there is still a lightness that flows between them. Throw in some hilarious scenes like when they get sprung by Jackson and the aftermath and you can see why I love this book. When Bellamy is dumped by her boyfriend, rather meanly I might add, she decides to escape the rat race to relax and think with her friends. She didn't count on her car breaking down and getting stranded while it's fixed.Enter Shane the mechanic, who has dramas of his own, not that he shares anything with anybody. But he's good at his job and that's what she needs. He takes one look at her car and declares it broken and it will need major repairs before she can go anywhere. When the parts get snowed in, and so do Shane and Bellamy, things heat up for the pair, think hot times in a car and other places. And when Bellamy makes a snap decision and ends up staying for a week, things really get hotter. Snow, log cabin, good food, great company, what more could they ask for ?But what happens when reality rears it's head, can Bellamy really follow through on her decision and can Shane open up enough to let her know his secret ? Or will they allow outside forces to keep them apart and cause heartbreak ?This is going to be a keeper book for me and I'm sure it will go into many other readers keeper lists too. Kimberly Kincaid is one to add to your auto buy list, if you haven't already. I am already desperate for the next book, Gimme Some Sugar. It can't come out fast enough. Till then I see a re-read or two in my future. This book was supplied by the publisher for an honest review.I really enjoyed this book,it is the first I have read by this author and I was impressed. the characters we're well thought out and well written. I loved the relationship between Shane and Bellamy and the other characters in the book. I look forward to Jackson's story. This was the first book I read by this author, I can honestly say it was great read, and I don't know how I had not read this author before.
