Summary:- These are cotton liners, not gloves. Use a wind proof mitten to cover.- If you are careful about power level, batteries last long enough for most outdoor activity, whether skiing, hiking or walking the dog.- Good customer service dealt promptly with an initial issue.- I will plan to buy these every year or two as they will probably wear with my heavy use. A lot cheaper than chemical warmers I previously used daily.I've used these glove liners for a month or so now under numerous conditions and think they are a great find for those whose hands generate almost no heat and therefore are cold even in down mittens (that's me).I use these cotton electric hand warmers under a pair of gortex mittens (lightly lined) and have found them terrific for staying warm when walking the dog for 90 minutes in mid teens and skiing for 4 hours in the 20s. The three levels of heat allow me to modulate temperature as my core warms up through activity.Battery life is an issue for all devices like this. I use the high setting only for a couple of minutes to get things going, and then reduce to low. At low setting, I have gotten more than 5 hours out of the batteries. On high, they run down in less than two hours. I keep them on the charger in the mudroom whenever not in use, and that practice supports a lifestyle that is outside for half the day.I would have rated this product with five stars but for an initial problem with one of the battery sets - it would not hold a charge. The Company provided excellent support, however. In a couple of emails, they verified my problem and sent a new battery set at no charge.I bought these for use in a freezer at my work (which is kept around 0* degrees) I liked the idea of how thin it is so I can have good dexterity but it does not keep them warm enough for everyday use seems like they would be perfect for a cold day in the snow but not a freezer. This product wears large and is not good enough to keep your fingers warm in a freezer and the battery dies fast but would be great for outdoor use particularly in the snowWorked as description said. When I went back and read original ad, does say liners; after it says GLOVES several times. My bad, I guess. These LINERS do work best under gloves, so have used them. Still peeved about ad, though, as have bought vest and quite happy with that.It works okThese gloves are confusing. Let me explain. The company seems to differentiate between gloves and liners by the way the heating elements are disposed (see documentation). Everyone else may be forgiven to think that the thin spandex-like gloves are liners instead.Indeed, the stretchy thin fabric feels every bit like a liner that’s not meant to be worn by itself. On a more superficial level, these are unisex gloves but the spandex look with the thicker collar looks a lot more feminine than some guys may be able to deal with. Of course you can always wear a pair of “manly” gloves over it but you once again may be forgiven to ask: “Why? I thought these are gloves.” (One picture shows a single glove and that’s the best way I found to convey the material looks.)The included battery packs and charger (one for both batteries) are compact and easy to use. The double pack of batteries per glover store in a pocket in the thicker collar of the gloves. There is no indication of the charge level on the battery and a LED on the charger switches from red to green when fully charged. With the batteries in place, the collar is a bit tighter than the glove size suggests and that makes it somewhat difficult to put the gloves on even with the draw strings wide open. The square button turns each glove on individually with a long press and then cycles thru the three power levels indicated by the light color (red = high, yellow = medium, green = low). Of course the battery life is directly affected by the chosen level and the High setting drops the comfort to a bit over an hour from a fully charged battery. The heating is fairly even and although I am not exactly cold-natured they never felt super hot. To some that may be a let-down, like my wife, to me it’s a sign of a well-balanced design. Still, the fabric choices of the gloves themselves and the odd looking collar by comparison really are responsible for the three-star rating. These fit nicely on the three individuals I tried them on; but the best thing is that they actually fit inside of suede work gloves! Excellent!!not impressed always have too charge if they sit around a few days and not really warm not happyLike it
