I got these for our camping/hiking trip up in the mountains. I ordered up a size so that she'd still be able to wear them this winter for snow boots but unfortunately they're almost too small to even get on her now. Even if they were the right size, I don't think she'd be able to get them on herself. I do like that they're a lighter boot though so they don't have to be used strictly for winter. Shes in an 8, I ordered the 9, she would fit best in a 10.Update: Kiddo wore these during a trip to the snow, and they held up great. Her feet stayed warm and dry playing in the snow, and they served well as hiking boots (though next time we'll bring crampons to keep from slipping on ice!). They seem to be discontinued so ordered the next size up for when she grows out of these.My 5yo daughter loves these boots for rainy days. She walks with a group from school to the aftercare program so I wanted to get waterproof boots that are better for walking than galoshes. I also wanted light, relatively flexible hiking boots for hiking in the wet winter. These fulfill both purposes. She does need help putting these on because, given the elastic bungee laces, it's a tight squeeze getting her foot through the shaft. But my daughter has skinny feet and ankles, so this means the boots fit securely. My daughter rejects boots that are too stiff, but these are flexible in the ankles and the soles while being supportive. Plus they look fabulous!Person was very pleased at the size, style and quality of the bootI wore them to work and I work in a warehouse with concrete floors and I'm constantly walking. They were very comfortable. These are good quality shoes, not cheaply made at all.My son has worn them in the snow and cold conditions a couple of times. He never complained about his feet being cold. He said they were "comfy." They seem good quality, and I especially like not having to keep them tied.My son loved his boots, I was skeptical about the color being to bright, but for a 6yr old boy the blue was fine! My kids go to an outdoor school. These are hands down the best for fall and spring and mild winter days. Don’t hav to worry if it rains or snows as the are quite warm (though not a cold winter boot) and waterproof. Excellent fit. Both my kids love them. If you’re on the fence,just buy them! You won’t regret it!The boots themselves are nice looking but a bit difficult for a 4 year-old to put on without assistance. Also, I was very disappointed to learn they’re not waterproof as advertised. My son’s feet got wet from walking through wet grass. I will now have to buy a different pair.. Ya tuvo su primer percance y dineron la talla ya que se metio en el rio accidentalmente por unos segundos y las botas ni se inmutaron. Les doy un diez en eficacia. Y otro diez en calidad.We're a fan of Columbia products for our kids. This was no exception. Would definitely recommend. High quality stuff that makes the higher price (versus "bargain" brands) WELL worth it.As an adult with small feet (size 4 Ladies) I bought these in children’s size 3 and they are the perfect fit. Very warm, comfortable, and waterproof. I’m just learning to walk again without orthotics and the Velcro strap adds bonus extra support for my ankles. Easy on and off.
