Finding the right gloves for barbecue is tough as most don't provide good protection from heat. These gloves have some great features and some not so great features. I got my usual size and they fit well except the finger tips look weird. Instead of tapered fingers they are broader at the tips which make these gloves look odd.For the size they look very big and bulky mostly because they are made of very thick material. I like that they feel like fabric and are flexible. Both front and back sides have silicon patches which give a very good grip while holding pots. I have used these for transferring ceramic, steel and cast iron pots from oven and they give great protection from heat. These are also great for barbecue. They wash well in washing machine.We have gotten rid of our oven mitts. These things are comfortable, grippy and and you can hold onto a 400 degree pan for quite a while before it starts to feel toasty. The quality is high and we couldn't be happier with these. Please note that they go quite high on your wrist, which is safer, but perhaps not entirely necessary.My hands are a size L when it comes to gloves. The gloves themselves are big enough for my hands, but the fingers are too narrow, making them hard to fit in. Have to really pull them on to get them to fit. So if you are a size L, you can make it fit, and any larger hands will need to look elsewhere for bigger gloves.They also wrinkle up quite a bit as you close your hand to grab things. To be fair, considering the thickness of the gloves, this is kind of reasonable.As to heat, these do work for picking up hot pots. Was going to use these for grilling, but they do feel a bit too thick. Also, the cloth material is not great for handling greasy things on the grill...will be looking into other options. These will be kept in the kitchen for indoor use.I like that I can use these insteadof pot holders in the house.The size of the gloves are large enoughfor my husband to wear too. I like I can wearthem to but they are big. Note the pictures,I am 5’3 and 115lbs to give a example ofthe size of the gloves.I like the color.I like they are easily washed and dried.I like I can handle the hot pans and thegrilling outside without being burned.I picked up a pan with boiling water andtouched the underneath and held it therefor a while and the glove just got slightlywarm that was it.I found they were sewn well with theexception of one loose thread I had tocut off on the inside.This is my first pair of heat resistantgloves. I like I can even pick up hot meatoff the grill and turn it.I have enclosed pictures so you canmake a informed decision based on yourown personal needs.Yes I would recommend this product.I consider myself an experienced backyard BBQer. I have purchased many BBQ gloves in the past. I have BBQ gloves in various places. I must be obsessed with BBQ gloves. These gloves are worthy to find a place in my BBQ glove arsenal. They are made well, look stylish, and I like that they extra long. They go well past my wrists and up my forearm. You never can be too careful and safe from those flare-ups. These are good with the heat and of course the fire. The price is right for these gloves.These gloves are so awesome for heat protection! These were made for bbq grills but I use these at the bakery I work at. I was tired of having burn marks on my forearms. These gloves are made of a cotton material with a heat resistant print that helps with grip. I am able to grip pans and pots easily with how flexible these gloves are. They provide superior heat protection. Highly recommend.I had almost given up on finding heat resistant gloves flexible enough to function in.These allow me to take a hot Dutch Oven out of the oven without burning myself.These help with the fact that I keep trying to light my hands on fire when I light up the grill. I can light all the propane heaters and cookers now without singeing the hair off my knuckles. Pizza – no problem. I can slide it on and off the peel like a pro. Flip burgers - no problem.The only thing missing is a loop on each glove so that I could hang them by the grill.I like these gloves. They are exactly what I have been searching for.
