I have tried several microwaveable neck wraps and was disapponted; some wouldn’t stay warm, shape wouldn’t stay wrapped around my neck, and had a strong artificial lavender scent. This wraps around my neck and is not too heavy, it heats up in 1.5 minutes and stays warm and is unscented. The shape is good for wearing underneath hoodie or bathrobe. It’s very effective for alleviating neck tension.I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it! Apparently, it retains heat very well and the surface this design covers is really useful for particularly stressful WFH days. It's also slim enough to wear under a zip-up hoodie without adding much bulk, if you don't want to make it obvious that you're using it during zoom calls.Great product and great service from Ostrichpillow. Product actually arrived before date promised!High quality and works well.This fits right around your neck and that's about it, but I find it to be just right for those times when my neck is all tense and tight. Heat this up (as hot as you like) and apply. Doesn't say hot very long, but it slowly cools down. Simple enough to reheat. The stuff inside does move around and you do have to shake and kneed it back into place from time to time, but not a real big deal, some cross stitching would have been nice to help prevent that (hence the missing star). Fabric feels really nice against my skin and I like the light weight feel of this too.In the box is one very narrow neck wrap that can also be used for wrists, ankles, arms, and legs. It is well-made and weighted. The material is not soft like other wraps I tried but it is still soft enough and comfortable.I heated this in my microwave for 60 seconds and it came out hot. It does not have moist heat like other wraps I tried so this is more of a burning heat, so one has to be careful. The weight of the wrap is perfect as it lays effectively around my neck.This can also be frozen for one hour for cold therapy. Note I recommend putting it in an airtight plastic bag before doing so.Per the Amazon site, this wrap is made of clay beads. The clay beads are stitched nicely into the wrap and stay put due to the segmented stitching. It can only be spot washed. It also comes with a cloth bag for storage.Overall this is soothing and works well as a hot or cold wrap. I only use it as a hot wrap. Due to the size, it can be used for the neck, wrists, stomach, ankles, or anywhere a little heat or cold is needed. I took off one star only because the price is so outrageous. The current price of $42 is very expensive for this. Neck wraps made of clay beads can be purchased for half of that and they are just as good. If the price were in the $22 to $28 range, this would have received 5 stars from me.I ordered this, with my husband in mind, hoping he could use it. He has a severe neck injury with cervical stenosis, degenerative discs, etc. We tried this with him and it was too heavy - it put a little too much pressure on his neck and wasn't comfortable. I can use this for me, and I like that it can be used hot or cold. It's also the right size and weight for me to use across my abdomen if I have cramps.This neck wrap works great for hot therapy as well as cold compress. It is easy to use and comfortable to put around the neck. The neck wrap is very well made. The outer knit material is 27% cotton, 2% spandex and 71% polyester. It is soft to the touch and yet thick enough as to not make you feel the hard clay beads inside pressing against your skin.However, the neck wrap isn't very lightweight since the clay beads do have some serious weight to them. It stays put around your neck due to the weight but not overly heavy, at least for me. It is also reversible. One side is dark gray in color and the other side is light gray. I don't sense much of a difference between the two sides other than the color.The clay beads remain heat pretty well. I heat the neck wrap in the microwave and it stays nice and warm for more than 20 minutes (the amount of time I use it for in a session). I haven't tried it for cold compress yet but it can be placed in the freeze for that purpose. It also comes with a protective fabric pouch for storage as well as for heating it up in the microwave or keeping in the freezer (in order to keep it clean).Overall, I'm very pleased with this neck wrap. It works great for hot therapy. It is comfortable to put around the neck and won't shift around due to its inherit weight. Heat retention is pretty good. The material and build quality is good as well. It is a great neck wrap. Lo primero que llama la atención es su nombre, Ostrich Pillow, Almohada Avestruz, nombre con gancho y potente, que creo que se utiliza para las tipologías de almohadas para viajar o poder echar un sueñecito en los sitios más insospechados. En mi caso, he escogido este saco térmico cervical porque tengo muchos problemas con el cuello, hombros y cervicales y estoy encantada porque me viene muy bien para rebajar el dolor y la tensión muscular.Es muy práctico porque es lavable a mano y reutilizable, se puede usar en caliente (60 segundos en microondas) o en frío (1 hr. en el congelador) y viene con una bolsita sencilla pero muy mona (que debemos utilizar para introducirlo en el microondas, por ejemplo) con dos frases en inglés que traducidas vendrían a decir algo así como: Momentos sencillos pueden brillar en preciosos viajes. Pequeños hábitos pueden provocar transformaciones.El saquito en si está relleno de perlas de arcillas, y en si la almohada saquito está hecha en un 71% de polyester, 27% de algodón y 2% de spandex. Para introducirlo en el microondas debemos tener en cuenta que los extremos se calientan más que la zona central, por supuesto, que no debemos quemarnos al manipularlo y que debe haberse enfriado antes de que lo guardemos en su sitio habitual. No debemos plancharlo, ni centrifugarlo, tampoco limpiarlo en seco, simplemente debemos lavarlo a mano. Un modo sencillo y natural de conseguir alivio en un cuello y hombrosEstamos ante un saco térmico cervical.Este saco simplemente poniéndolo en el cuello nos permite tener una sensación muy agradable de calor y frio y al fin y al cabo de relajación.Simplemente lo metemos en el microondas para que se caliente durante unos minuetos para aliviar dolores musculares, también podremos meterlo en el congelador por si necesitamos el efecto contrario.La polivalencia es una de sus mayores virtudes, acompañando todo ello con un tejido suave que retiene tanto el frio como el calor y que se hace muy cómodo de poner en nuestros hombros.El precio ronda los 40 euros , puede parecer algo caro , pero es cierto que es muy cómodo y útil.En definitiva , si tenemos estrés o dolores en el cuello o en los hombros , creo que es una buena opción a pesar de su precio elevado.Mi punto débil, sin lugar a dudas, son las cervicales. Por eso, a veces, sobre todo en épocas de invierno o de estrés, necesito aplicarle calor y mejoran bastante. Para ello, utilizo parches de calor o almohadas de legumbres y siento la mejoría.No conocía el término "almohada de avestruz", que es precisamente esta almohada y que es perfecta para proteger y cuidar nuestras cervicales. Como veis, es una almohada alargada, que se pone tapando el cuello y cae sobre la parte delantera del pecho.Se puede utilizar con calor (como hago yo normalmente con otros) o con frío:1) Calor: mételo en el microondas durante 60 segundos y ya lo tienes listo.2) Frío: introdúcelo en el congelador durante una hora y se habrá enfriado lo suficiente.Se ve a simple vista que es un producto de buenísima calidad, con buenos tejidos, buenos acabados... Sorprende que está relleno de bolas de arcilla. Sabía de la existencia de almohadas rellenas de legumbres o semillas pero creo que es la primera vez que oigo lo de las bolas de arcilla, pero desde luego eficiente es.Supongo que el frío irá bien en estas épocas de calor, pero para mejorar mis cervicales lo que mejor me va es el calor. Se caliente rápido en el microondas, se adapta bien al cuello y en seguida notas la mejoría.Una cosa muy buena es que es un producto que se puede lavar a mano, por lo que puedes quitarle las posibles manchas, el sudor etc.En cuanto a su precio, ahora mismo cuesta 41 euros. Lo sé, barato no es, pero hay que tener en cuenta que este tipo de productos duran muchísimos años y que nos hacen mucho bien cuando los necesitamos, por lo que me parece un precio que debe pagarse con gusto, es una buena inversión.Ya estoy usando un saco similar pero de gel en lugar de cereales, es genial para dolores musculares, contracturas o de los cólicos menstruales pues cuando los necesitas usar en caliente en el microondas se calientan enseguida. Su forma anatómica hace que se adapte bien al contorno del cuello.Quería usar uno de cereales pues me parece bastante más natural además no corres el riesgo de que explote en el micro si te despistas (Ya me ha pasado con anterioridad), además es mucho más ancho (sus medidas son de 50x20cm) por lo que me cubre mucha más superficie de espalda y no tengo que estar moviéndolo.Se puede usar en frío o en caliente. Para usarlo en frío hay que meterlo en el congelador al menos durante al menos una hora. Para usarlo en caliente hay que meterlo durante un minuto a 600-1000W en el microondas. Incluye una funda que hay que usar para calentar o congelar pero que también sirve para guardar el cojín. Se puede lavar pero a mano.Puedes comprar el cojín en 2 colores azul o gris.Lo negativo las instrucciones de uso están en inglés, por lo que algunas cosas las he sacado con un poco de lógica, pero no vendría mal las instrucciones en español.
