It’s possible that these are overpriced, but my satisfaction makes them worth it.I hated every placemat I’ve tried. Mesh that does nothing, silicone that looks childish, some weird pleather material that made my table look like an S&M situation.I still cannot understand why good placemats are so hard to find.The print is fresh and relaxing, superb neutral with white and beige. Not too busy. Flows.They don’t slide easily, they have eliminated the need for coasters on the table.They don’t crease. They feel thick, a little textured...and silky too.Two things that might bother someone: they are JUST wide enough for a dinner plate, fork spoon and knife. A glass close by at the top corner. This is ok with me because that way the corner seats at my square table dont end up with overlapping mats. But, if you need more coverage, you might not like that.Also, the Mintrico logo is printed on the front corner. Not big, not too contrasting from the print, but I dont think it’s in the best taste for this company to advertise so blatantly. You might think of it like an artist’s signature, or you might like them so much you just don’t care (like me). It does not stand out at a glance.I bought a set of 8, sight unseen and no ability to return, and I am ordering 2 more as backup. Not thinking twice about the cost.They are also fantastic for placing under serving dishes and condiments on the table.Wipe off like a dream.Liquids bead up and wait patiently.My table looks like adults eat there.They make me consider upgrading other things in the room.I think if you buy one set to try, you’ll come back for more.The price is worth a beautiful, fantastically functional table.This company figured out placemats.Kudos to the designers!
