A stylish boot with an urban spirit, this boot is ready for anything thanks to a comfy insulated and waterproof upper, wear-all-day fit and rugged traction. Designed for superior winter warmth, it’s perfectly adapted to cold weather romps and ski resort hangouts. The Women’s Cascara Omni-HEAT Snow Boots are loaded with advanced technology and Columbia’s built-in attention to detail. These snow savvy boots feature a flexible waterproof textile upper, extra 200g insulation, along with our signature thermal reflective lining designed to retain your foot warmth, while keeping them dry in any snow. The Techlite midsole provides max cushioning underfoot for all-day comfort – while the outsole is made of fiberglass particles infused into the rubber, delivering superior grip on wintry surfaces. Columbia offers these women’s snow boots in multiple colors, with true-to-size fit.
Son ligeras, prácticas y confortables, con confort térmico incluso a (-10grados). Caminé en nieve y no se humedecieron. Compré media talla más y me quedaron excelentes con las medias térmicas , soy 37,5 y compré 38. Quiero comprar otras! These are well constructed and do a great job for their intended purpose - being worn in snow. I also have the Columbia Heavenly Shorty Omni-Heat Boot and while those feel like a casual slipper that upgraded to being waterproof (which I love and highly recommend for casual-wear), the Cascara actually feels like a boot. It has good tread and a real foot bed shape. I got the Heavenly Shorty's first but was constantly worried about tearing the upper or stubbing my toes on ice clumps when going through hard packed snow. Now that I have these I am more than comfortable stomping through any snow quality. I am able to pull the laces tight to keep out snow, though I do wish the liner was either a bit more robust to keep out flurries, or that the boot itself was a bit taller. Overall I love the construction, durability, and comfort of this boot. For keeping warm on winter days - I grab my Heavenly Shorty pair. For walking through snow - I grab my Cascaras. If I could only have one pair, I'd stick with the Cascaras since they check all the boxes. I got a size 12 and it fits wonderfully.I did see one negative review that mentioned going on hikes with this boot - this is NOT a hiking boot. This is made to keep you warm and happy for short adventures in bad weather. While it provides grip and comfort for general urban and suburban use (i.e. navigating barely-shoved city streets, making snowman in the front yard, walking the dog in the park, etc.), it is not meant for strenuous use, aka a hike in the mountains. This boot is very light, it's materials do not have the high durability needed for the repeated impacts / stretches / scrapes of footfalls over rocks and roots while hiking. If you're looking for only one boot, get a summer waterproof hiking boot and then use it during winter with thick socks. It'll be heavier but super durable and grippy.I have had these boots for only a couple weeks at this point, and have not used them in the snow yet. I live in michigan, so I'll update this when I get the opportunity. In the summer I usually wear a size 5 or 5.5. I ordered these in a size 6 thinking I'd be wearing them with thicker socks. They fit perfectly with thin summer socks, but are pretty snug with a thicker smartwool or winter type sock. So, I think they run small. I think they definitely run narrow. I wish I'd known this bc I prob would have gotten a 6.5.Otherwise, they feel pretty light weight which is nice. The boots I had before this were merrell brand and while they did feel more heavy duty and like they had more thoughtfulness when it came to cushioning in the heel and warmth and stuff like that... the merrell zippers broke after just one winter. So anyway, these seem overall more cheaply made than merrells... but they haven't broken yet! I like the bright color, that's why I bought these. So... hopefully this review is helpful to someone. Like I said, I'll update once I have a chance to actually put them to use in the winter weather :)Fits TTS. Very good quality. So lightweight and so warm!! I have no clue how these thin lightweight boots keep my feet so warm. I can wear them outside with NO socks for an hour before I feel my toes START to get cold. Must be made out of rocket ship material or something. The only downside is that the boots took a little time to break in. At first the ripple in the back where the boot shaft naturally wanted to fold gave me huge blisters. Over time the fabric softener and the ripple smoothed out which fixed the problem. Nos the boots rub the backs of my heels slightly and cause blisters after I walk in them for about 20-30 minutes in thinner socks. I recommend thick socks with these boots. I usually wear a size 7 or 7.5 and I purchased a 7 and they are roomy.I live in Western NY and walk a little under a mile each way to work daily. I highly recommend these boots! The first wears I had long thermal socks as the reviews recommendation to prevent blisters. Yes they are stiff at first but easily break in!They do well on slippery surfaces but I would wear ice spikes if you're planning on wearing these in icy conditions. I did wipe out on black ice. These are a great investment!I rarely fine shoes and boots that feel so comfortable my big toe has issues and they give me plenty of room. I bought two pair I can't get any more :-(Nice looking boot with great fit. However one boot had a stain on the front pretty noticeable. I needed them to go tubing so didn’t want to hassle sending back as wouldn’t have boots in time. Thought maybe it would come off since they are waterproof but would not wipe off. Kind of disappointed to receive them new this way. These boots are so lightweight and warm! Not to mention comfy. They didn't bother my arthritic big toe joint even at the very beginning! I walk 8 to 12 km a day with my work. Very few shoes or boots are comfortable enough for me to wear the whole shift day after day. These definitely are. Only complaint is the dark grey\kettle combo that I got is no where near as dark as the pic showed. Unless they sent me the wrong color. But they are definitely a light grey. It shld be noted that these are insulated in the bottom of the foot. Very few boots are. They usually depend on the insole to keep the foot warm from underneath. These have a thin insole with a bit of built in support in it.These boots are exactly what I was looking for: not slippery, light and warm. Well... they are pretty too ? Honestly, i can understand the complaints reg. warmth. I dont know how warm they will keep your feet at -30C but my feet were close to be sweaty at -10C. I always buy boots one size up. So the size were half size less as expected but still fit me well. If i buy exactly my size they would feel small. Keep it in mind. Just what I expected. Warm, light weight. Great for walking in the snow. I actually ordered 1/2 size larger just to wear a thicker sock. I was pleased I could order a 1/2 size larger. Does not feel too big at all even with regular sock on.I would highly recommend.Horrible boots. First time today trying to wear them and they dig into the sides of my heels. So uncomfortable. Also to note I have narrow feet, couldn’t imagine if you have wide feet. Want to return but past the few day window to return. Unable to contact company about return.
