I bought this to go around my transmission lines but to my surprise it's all sewed together, which is fine but it's hard work to pull lines and slide this on. I was thinking it was velcro and I could just wrap my lines.Using this on my 2013 chevy cruze to cover a coolant line (that’s right next to the engine block) from being warped. So far after a few months, it’s holding up pretty good!Tad bit largeDidn’t have to cut it so no problems with that, seems like it’s well put together but time will tell. Easy to use as it’s a simple designI used a 3/4" x 3 feet sheath. It was used around a 0awg (8.25mm) start cable that was installed in close proximity to the catalytic converter. The starter solenoid wires were double shielded, so I folded the 3/4" sleeve and used stainless steel ties to hold the folded sleeve in place around the 0awg cable.+ Seems to be av good quality materials.+ Good stitching.- Large flap with company logo(Understand logo solution - removed flap for cleaner install)Ordered 1/2" for the metal fuel line but was a little tight. still worked. I would go with 3/4" in the futureI needed heat protection for a couple of 16 awg gxl lines I ran to power rock lighting under my off-roader since the wires route past the exhaust man and the catalytic converter. I mean, yes the wiring is a good 6" away, but why take a chance since melted wires will result in a short which can result in fire. This sleeve slid over the wire loom with some maneuvering since I ordered the 1/2" heat sheath and the loom was 1/4", but that was my bad. In the end, this is doing just what I wanted, protecting the wiring from extreme temperatures in the engine bay. Now I haven't taken the vehicle on a good long shake-out run yet, but I will and if there are problems, I will update this review. So far so good - it's heavy cloth with reflective coating. The coating is bonded well - doesn't flake off or separate. Just a few things - note in the photos how frayed and sloppy the material and stitching is in what you receive versus what they show in the ad photos, all nice and clean. Very sloppy. Will it last? Bummer. Also, it is sewn with a rather large flap of extra material on the side for the length of the tube making it appear almost twice as wide. They should use a sewer that allows the tube to be all that is exposed rather than all that extra material. But Ill look past that. .Also not sure why it needs a huge name tag on it but I'll trim that off. Will check back in and edit once it has had a chance to protect the wiring near the exhaust manifolds. Hoping it lasts out here in the AZ oven.1955 1st Series Chev pick up (straight 6): I used this to wrap my fuel line (from fuel pump) that traverses the front of the engine just behind the radiator and over to the carburetor on the opposite side. Yes, it seems to keep the fuel line much cooler -- no more fuel locking. Certainly looks nicer and more efficient than using homemade (insulated) tin foil.Easy to use had some wires the melting after being to close to the exhaust. But the wire bundle in the sealed tube and no issues with wires meltingReçu la gaine protectrice contre la chaleur, très beau produit, vraiment très bien fabriquéavec des coutures solides, je crois vraiment que ça fera l'affaire pour ce que je veux en faire.Très hâte de l'essayer sur mes lignes à essence, sur mon 1976 GMC Vandura G35 V8-400cid.Merci.Carl-DaveUsed to shield battery cable to starter motor through exhaust headers. Worked like a charm.Product was deliverd ontime. Will be using it to cover my Power wires to amp. Underhood temps near exhaust is ugly
