The spoon bowl is massive. Can be used to serve with. Very sturdy and completely encased with the silicone.So far, it's great. Heavy duty, heat and grease resistant, easy to clean. No brainer replacement to the cheap nylon serving spoon we had before. It will outlast me.Very well made and seamless construction! Love it!I purchased this because of excellent reviews and I am not disappointed!!! Just used it for the 1st time browning hamburger and it did not feel like it would break at the neck nor was it flimsy, very sturdy!!! I wasn't sure if I would like the silicone coating but tomato sauce didn't stain it. I am very satisfied with it and plan to purchase more. I needed a spoon that wouldn't scratch my non-stick pots and pans and this is perfect, and definitely passed the heat test!
