I have purchased these containers before. They are great. These not so. The lids do not clasp or snap tightly and seem of poorer quality. The containers are not the sizes as stated on the diagram. The Largest one is barely 8.5"x6.5"2.75" and that measurement is all the way out to the edge, vs 9.1"x6.9"x3"as stated. So buyer beware if you have specific uses for these containers..I have owned my set for 2 years and today, after dropping it on the floor by accident (there goes my lunch for tomorrow), I was so astonished that the glass did not break that I am writing a review. The good:* I dropped it on the floor from counter level and it did not break it at all. The sound startled my mom, who was at the other end of the house. But no, it did not break at all!* These have not leaked on me. I have put soup and porridge in these containers and taken them to work or school. And no, they haven't leaked. I place it in a plastic bag to be safe, but it's always fine.* I have heard that using glass is better than using plastic to store your food. And to reheat your food.* I have used the containers (without the lids) in the oven to bake small batch of brownies. Yum.The so-so:* I have owned mine for two years and some of the lids seem to have gunk on them around the edges. I wash and wash them but it still looks weird.* Since these are glass, they are heavier to carry around.* The lids are not microwavable. So what I do is remove the lid, cover with paper towel, and heat my food.To sum up, the most important thing that I like, and I think they should never change this feature... is to keep them leak proof. If it weren't for this, I would not have purchased. We ordered this set over 6 months ago, primarily as lunch containers for my husband and I to use for work. After six months of constant use, I can say we are 100% satisfied with this product (and I just placed my order for a second set). Of the six pieces (not counting the covers), four are perfectly sized for lunches. The largest one is great for larger batches of leftovers that inevitably need storage, and the smallest one may be useful for breakfast or smaller items. The borosilicate glass is thick and heavier than one might expect, but I'd take the extra weight any day for the sturdiness of the product. Apart from today, when a container dropped from my desk onto the floor and broke, we have had no issues with breakage or chips - and we are not the most delicate family when it comes to washing and upkeep. Also, the seal is awesome - we repeatedly bring soup to work and have had no issues with leakage.Worth noting is that we do NOT leave the covers on when reheating leftovers in the microwave... and we have never had issues with damage to the lids. We do try to be careful with storage, as one of the products can get locked into the bottom of another and that could lead to damage. If your product arrives with chips or integrity issues, it was likely damaged during transport. It sounds as though the company has great customer service - return and try again.I was very skeptical going in that any glass containers could be as sturdy as these have been. I also didn't want to be saddled with a 30-piece set where only 4 of the pieces would actually fit our needs. This set was perfect. If you are interested in transitioning away from plastic, go for it!UPDATE: AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! contacted them about two stolen containers and while they can't sell pieces of the set individually (too cost-ineffective to ship) they did respond to my inquiry in UNDER 5 MIN. if that wouldn't persuade someone to buy a whole new set, I don't know what would. So obviously I did! Love these high quality containers and thank you for an unrivaled interaction.__________________________I ordered these to safely and securely bring meal-prepped lunch to work. For those wondering what the colors are, in my set all the rectangular ones had a purple silicone seal and the square ones had a blue silicone seal. I also noticed that the listed sizes are slightly off, so I'm including what was on the packaging and the items themselves for those who care: One 450ml/1.9cup, one 1600ml/6.76cup, two 880ml/3.72cup, one 1030ml/4.35cup, and 400ml/1.6cup. I feel safe putting these with food and a little bit of liquid in my precious purse to bring to work (I commute via subway), and while glass, they are not too heavy. Plus, you don't have to worry about plastics or chemicals leaching into your food. The warning not to microwave the lid is not because the lids are flimsy and might warp - it's because you run the very real risk of heat vacuum sealing the lid to the container, and short of breaking the container, you might not get your food back or the lid separated again. However, the lids do serve as excellent trivets to put your hot containers on when taking them out of the microwave (definitely not from the real oven or toaster oven, though). The lids haven't stained yet, which is a HUGE plus for me, and the containers sort of stack, making them easy to store. I'd recommend these for sure! These are great glass Tupperware containers, but they break easily and shatter when they do break. So long as you are careful with them that shouldn't be a problem.
