Light snow boot. They are on the narrow side. Order 1/2 up, especially if you have wider than average foot. For people who’ve had plantar fasciitis and have to take extra care on quality of shoes.I tried the boots on in my medium smart wool socks. I’m a size 10 slightly wide feet. I Hardly ever need to order larger than 10. Except for these boots and occasionally target mules and sandals. These boots, size 10.5 fit perfectly. For reference My feet are a bit wider than average. Where in other brands, like cole han and saucony runners, I order a 10 wide which fit slightly loose, but their regular sizes are too narrow and tight across the center/arch of my foot.I would recommend sizing up 1/2 size. The length is short. I have just a little room from the tip of my toes to the end of the shoe. Size 10 my foot would be at the very end of the shoe. With my socks on the boots are snug around the center/arch area of my foot, but not tight. I don’t feel any potential for hot spots wearing these boots being snug and feel they’ll stretch that little bit to not feel too snug. The toe area has space to move my toes. My foot isn’t wider than the bottom of the shoe ,it just barely fits. there isn’t any arch support and the arch area is the snug/narrow for my foot, my foot isn’t hanging over. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable, though a hair narrower I wouldn’t be able to wear these. There isn’t room to put in an orthotic without removing the insert. The insert is thicker than any shoe I own. And I feel this insert is needed for warmth where my orthotics wouldn’t provide. I think the insert being so thick and cushiony it provides enough support that I’m not worried it not having arch support orthotic. Side note: I’ve suffered from plantar fasciitis off and on for over a decade. It’s not bothering me now, I’m easily prone to re injuring it so good support is important. I don’t think these will bother me and they feel comfy. I intend to mainly wear these for walking around NYC. If I run into issues (foot pain/hot spots/ warmth issues) I’ll update this review. Hope this helps people with feet like mine.
