This is a great heat press for beginners. I never had many issues and it was easy to use. HOWEVER, this heat press lasted me a year and a half before the pressure knob stopped turning! I’m not able to use this anymore for anything that requires heavy pressure. ALSO, at about a year the platen started to become extremely wobbly. It was still useable but annoying. I used this heat press about 2-3 times a week for a year and a half, then it gave up on me. I feel like it should’ve lasted me a bit longer for the price. This is going to be LENGTHY. Brace yourself!Firstly.. if you’ve got this in your cart... BUY IT NOW! Maybe I’m overly ecstatic because I’m coming from a very tiny swing arm BUT this press is everything!! ❤️Second.. I looked for over a month for a press that would do what I needed and not break the bank. I read tons and tons and TONS of reviews and still wasn’t sure because the reviews were all so mixed. I started to really inspect them and a LOT of negative ones were from people who just did NOT know what they were doing! This is JUST a heat press people. Common sense sold separately!I received my press in two days ?? COME THROUGH SHIPPING!! Ripped it out of the box (it is heavyyyy) plugged it in and it went to beeping and counting down. Don’t let this deter you! If you’re a pro you’ll figure it out relatively quickly but new users may trip and think it doesn’t work or can’t be set etc etc. It works FINE just counts down AUTOMATICALLY when you close! I had to push a button on my old one so can we say in L O V E‼️Lastly.. the cons or more like heads ups! I’ve only had it 2 days and did a 17 shirt order today...... initially it is VERY VERY hard to open but again... this may be a user inadequacy and not the press. By the last shirt it was opening easier so don’t freak out. I wish the power cord was longer (it’s approx same length as my tiny press) I had expected it to be longer but nothing an extension cord can’t fix. My biggest issue... when you close there’s a clink sound from where the arm touches like a screw or bolt (not hardware savvy so idk what it’s called) but it makes a little metal chime and with a sleeping baby that was going to be a pain in my ass. So I went and got a little rubber piece and put on it to stop the sound and it’s totally fine! All in all... this is an AMAZING press and has almost paid for itself already!!I bought this to use for making a t-shirt quilt. Both sides of the quilt were made up of t-shirt pieces, and every piece needed to have fusible interfacing on the back to prevent stretching. I couldn’t imagine the time and sore arms involved in trying to do this with a standard iron, so I purchased this heat press hoping it would make the job easier. It worked like a charm and exceeded all my expectations. It has been well worth the money and paid for itself many times over. I have used it for other craft, sewing and quilting projects. Highly recommend, you won’t regret it!******BUYER BEWARE!!!!This heat press is trash! Don’t waste your money by buying it! The temperature is off by 93°. I use it for sublimation so if I try to use it at 400° it literally BURNS my shirts. I have to set it to 320° and even that is pushing it. Another problem I have with it is that it doesn’t have even pressure. I get a good press for 3/4 of my shirts but the top of them are never pressed right and look really faded there. See image for example. The customer service is a HUGE reason to stay FAR away from this product. I wanted to replace my heat press but going through the normal motions wasn’t giving me the option so I had to contact Amazon. Amazon told me that the seller fulfilled my purchase and that I would have to reach out to them or they told me that I could return it and promised to have my money back to me within 3 days because I just opened a business and can’t go without a heat press. When I contacted the seller, they told me I needed to contact Amazon to get the replacement. So round and round I went until I finally sent the seller a screenshot of what Amazon said. The seller told me I needed to send them my heat press back and that they would send me a new one which would take them a few WEEKS! I tried to explain that I don’t have weeks. I can’t go without a heat press but the seller did not care one single bit. They were rude, they had no “customer service”. So now I’m just going to be stuck with a crap heat press that doesn’t work right because this seller couldn’t care less and doesn’t want to back their product. When I first reached out to this seller about my heat press having uneven pressure and having the wrong temperature they told me that unless I bought a temperature gun they couldn’t do anything to help me.
