Ideal in works started from scratch. There are not many wires in the motor compartment that can be insulated because the connectors are too big and you can't pass them through the protection cable.I used this heat sleeve on my V8 swapped Ford Ranger, and nearly 2 years later, it's held up extremely well! Zero complains from me! I'd recommend this heat sleeve to anyone needing to protect hard lines, hoses, or wires from excess engine or exhaust heat. I used it on fuel line, engine wires, etc. Very good stuff!diameter was not what I thought it was but it still worked, barely. Seems like good strong material though and you get plenty of heat shrink ends to make it look all professional.Every one at the race track was like, WOW what kind of heat shield is that.it looks great and seems to work great. I wish it came with more heat shrinks, but you cant beat how well it works for the price and 25'Nice quality high temp heat sleeve. I used this to first protect the wiring from the extreme heat of heat shrinking new connectors on the wires. It withstood the cherry red heat gun no problem. Then it's intended purpose is to protect the glow plug harness from the extreme temps of the turbo exhaust piping. It has worked flawless and will stop wires from melting.This products well made looks great when you order this product if you're makeing your own wires will work perfect otherwise make sure one end of plugwire has a straight boot because you will have to pull it off carefully heat shield will not stretch over boot use a little electric Greece makes boot go on a lot easyerworks great. I am actually using this to protect my sparkplug wires from mice that live in the neighborhood. The chewed up my last set of plug wires, so i got this product to protect the new ones. It works just fine, the mousies don't like to chew on this!I assumed that the 7/16 was the inside diameter but it seems to be the measurement of it flat. It says on the package 5/16 to 7/16 but the website says 7/16. It is more like 5/16 but overall it works but it is not what I expected.
