You don't have to sacrifice your fingers for a pretty weld! when welding being comfortable results in the best welds possible. In order to be comfortable you have to protect yourself from heat and get in a steady working position. The tig finger enables you to rest your hand on a work piece without having to worry about the metal heating up and burning your hand. Step up to the next level of tig welding and allow yourself to slide smoothly along hot metal and lay down that perfect bead. The tig finger has become a welding industry standard, allowing welders all over the world to slide smoothly along hot metal, without sacrificing their fingers. Just slip the tig finger over your tig glove and prop right next to the weld. It's like having a prop in your pocket.
Finish that long pass without burning your fingers
Pocket size durable design ideal for any tig job
Increases the lifespan of your tig glove
Great for hobbyists and industrial welders
Ordered it because I got a job doing tig welding after never having tig welded, and not having welded for 15 years. When I when I need to use it it's great. I just wish it was more often.I’m a shipyard pipe welder. Some of the welds I do are in really tough spots and walking the cup is not an option. Many of these pipes are very small (as small as 1/2”), so they get very hot, very quickly. This thing lets me weld them WAY faster and WAY easier. Best product I’ve bought for work in awhile, especially for the price. I’m gonna make sure I got one of these around for the rest of my life hahaMaybe just a personal preference but I don’t like how the ends aren’t continuously threaded together. I found myself constantly adjusting then because of this. Even when doubled over itself I couldn’t get away from this problem. It’s bound to bunch up and/or unfold while trying to use. There is plenty of length but it seems so unnecessary to have this much length when the ends could be tied together and the whole thing shortened. There’s also plenty of heat protection so all this length is again not necessary. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but it’s not even close to comfortable for this sole reason. You won’t get burnt but how many layers do you need of this thing. At some point you’re just welding your finger into the joint. I can get right next to the weld with it rolled up like it was a stitched together on the ends. I can see the thing start to smoke I’m so close and I don’t feel a thing. If I’m rolling this thing up wrong, send directions then lol. (Unlikely, since it’s not rocket science). I’m also welding on a 225 so that gives you a ballpark on what kind of heat I could potentially be exposed to.I’m a union PipeFitter and have to take 5G tests a lot. I like to free hand my roots and with the tig finger going up the right side is a breeze and gives me complete control of my torchYou definitely get what you paid for and it's well worth it if you have to do any of those well jobs where you need the keep your fingers close this is your go toI can't believe the difference this thing made for me. I've watched a lot of the videos made by the guy who sells these. I'm new to GTAW/TIG and having to wear thin gloves for dexterity results in my fingers heating up very quick. Especially the pinky and bottom of my hand as I drag it across the surface. Towards the end of a pass the heat would get so bad I found myself having to pull my hand up or move quicker to try and get done. That resulted in very bad welds. Today was my first day of really using the TIG finger. It worked just like promised! Couldn't feel the heat on my fingers or hand and I was able to hold my hand in the proper position to get a great pattern of tiny dimes. Over and over on a very hot surface I couldn't feel the extreme amount of heat coming off the work piece.I slid the TIG Finger over a clamp, mounted to the table, and the bulk of it created a very stable platform to rest my hand instead of just balancing on the head of the clamp. It also worked great just placing it between my hand and the table so I could smoothly drag my torch hand without feeling the heat coming through the table and tearing up my glove. In the end, the TIG Finger improved my weld pattern and I would give this as a gift and I will probably buy the XL version so I have more options.I've had lots of Tig finger last months welding Tig pipe and tube but not this one, also smallThis Tig finger Will Revolutionise Your Welding....No More Having To Man Up As your Glove Catches Fire Or stop Cause You Ran Out Of Manliness ....Now You Can Stand Back And Enjoy The Pain Free Product Of Your Creation....As important To fingers As Frupa 12 Is To shineyGreat product but would have bought xl size had I known how small this is. I've got medium sized hands and this barely fits my finger. That aside, it does exactly as it says. Brilliant!this is my second one of these, I used the first one so much I wore a hole in it.excellent for any welder, perfect for resting on hot flanges or outside corner joints, slides smoothly over stainless steel.Fits over gloved finger and lets you get the finger very close to the hot weld to support the gun if you are doing intricate welding. My husband was very please with this he use at work and it safe my husband to burn the finger
