I don't know what's up with the bad reviews, but I already own this heating pad, I have had it for several years, It is great for back, leg and shoulder pain. I would know!! I really like it! Helps me through some rough stuff. I gave mine to my Dad and I now bought it again on here for myself. I went out of my way looking for this particular one because it has a "warm" setting and auto shut off. I originally bought it at Walmart and they no longer stock it.I do think it's a little over priced. I think I originally paid around $20 for it, but that was a few years back. Pre-pandemic, but I don't care, I will only use this one. All others are cheap and only have 3 settings with no auto-shut off.If it doesn't work or you are experiencing issues, maybe the problem is not the heating pad... Just sayin. Maybe check your electric outlet and/or check to see that the switch for the heating pad is "On".As far as the pad being uncomfortable, it is XL King size. Use it with the padded sponge side. If you still are not satisfied, you may want to get a heated blanket or something instead. This is for pain, not to snuggle with.
