No more burned food to scrape off!!I found the handle to just be a pain you couldn't center the pan on the diffuser. I took the handle off and put in a drawer. also it seems to need a higher flame. Other wise it seems to work ok,I know I don’t have the best electric range on the market but I’m pretty sure it should be able to simmer… but it doesn’t. There’s just too much of a range on the lower settings to get a burner to maintain a somewhat consistent temperature so after a few discouraging results with some caramel it was time to do something to improve the results. This did the trick and for about 8-bucks it was well worth it... if for no other reason than just getting one pan of caramel to come out correctly. We had these years ago when we were in the food business and had a gas range but never thought until recently to try it on an electric one. The only downside is the side that touches the burner blues quickly from the heat and that’s there to stay but don’t expect it not to burn and turen dark just because it’s stainless steel. The other problem it solved was simmering homemade pasta sauce and preventing it from boiling. Well worth the investment but one side is already not a pretty sight.Bought these for the gas stove in our RV. No more burnt or boil overs !Try these, you will love them !PS you can set them on a campfire grate also for even heat distribution.Great kitchen drain strainerI don't know where it diffused the heat to but it wasn't to my pan. I also didn't feel the handle would hold up to repeated use.This is fantastic to use with a backpacking stove. Without it, the hot point is a 1.5" focus on a 7" pan. With the diffuser it spreads the heat a lot better. It's still rough cooking but our pots boiled more evenly and our pans heated more evenly. Worth the few dollars. AND IT FITS INTO THE BOTTOM of the nesting camp cookware mesh bag. Win win.I was thinking it would be Lightweight good for a few months. But it is a product that will last for years if you take care of it. It's a good addition to my pots and pans. Was having trouble cooking with propane was to hot now I can simmer with out burning my food. Love the removal handle. Just a note this is not for high heat. I have seen some comments that the handles get burned turn down the heat.It arrived ahead of schedule. After peeling off the blue plastic film, I put it under the stainless steel pan with boiling rice porridge on lowest gas. The rice was shimmed away for few mins. The result was great - it didn't overflow and every single rice was all well cooked. It left a clean cook top and a creaming porridge.
