Bought these as a holiday gift for my nephew who just turned 14 year. I wasn't sure about sizing but ordered Youth Large. My nephew is about 5"3 or 5"4 and thin but all lean muscle. When the pants arrived, I worried because they looked quite small. I wasn't sure they would stretch enough to fit him or be long enough. I went ahead and wrapped them up, figuring we'd just exchange them if they didn't fit. Well, I'm glad I kept them because he loved them and said they felt comfortable. I saw the pants on him but they were under athletic shorts so I could see from the knee down. I pulled the tights near his ankles and his waistband and was satisfied they fit. He wore them two days in a row so they were definitely a hit.As mother of one of those boys who won't wear anything but shorts, no matter what season it is, I was happy when my son asked me to get him a pair of these to wear underneath. Finally! Given other comments, I was a little worried about size, but the size chart, at least waist-wise, seems accurate. I ended up buying a large for my slim, 10 year old son. Not sure of his height, but he weighs 70 pounds and has a 24" waist and they fit perfectly. I thought they were a bit spendy (more than I wanted to pay), but after searching around, they seem to be the best deal out there for the quality, and they were just what my son wanted. Now I have to get him another pair because he won't take them off! - ew!Purchased the large for my 13 year old son. He wears a kids 12. They fit perfect and he really likes them. I'm taking off one star because the first time he wore them, he fell during a basketball game on an inside wood court and they ripped at the knee. I bought another pair and the same thing happened. I think those may be the only two times he's fallen, so it could be normal but I wouldn't think falling on a smooth surface would cause a large hole like that. I sewed them up and can't even see the stitches, so overall I'm happy with the purchase. My son is 10 years old, under 5 feet tall and very thin (80 lbs). I ordered the large thinking he would be able to get 2 years wear out of them. These say ankle length but they are a couple inches above his ankles today. Fit well otherwise (think leggings for boys). They keep him warm at lacrosse practice under his shorts. I like the style and the comfort but wish they were a bit longer.I liked the product so much that I ordered a second pair a year later for my7 year old son. After wearing them to school one day under shorts he came home with a small hole in them so a bit disappointed in the quality particularly given the price.I bought these for my 13-year-old son, who is around 5' tall. They are a little short - above his ankles but below his calves. That didn't matter to me because he's wearing soccer socks over them. They were not particularly tight - as you would expect compression tights to be. But he was comfortable in them, and they kept him warm.I bought these for my son, he is an 11 year old who wears a size 12 slim, the were a little baggy on him, but the quality of the tights are great, he loves them, he'll just need to grow into them a little. They fit in the waist and length, its the skinny legs that he has where they are baggy. We live in PA, which has been cold and rainy lately. My 8 year old plays soccer and is not a fan of wearing any type of protective leggings with her uniform. Once we actually got her into these pants, she now cannot live without them. They do a good job of wicking the sweat and keeping her warm. At $20 they were a good value.
