I really liked these boots when I saw them on Amazon, and they looked great when I opened the box. However, they do not fit my ankles. So, they have to be returned!!I live in North Central Kansas. These are great for cold temps, snow, and keeping your feet dry, but the zipper can be wonky at times. This review may get updated in 3 weeks. I own a coat with an Omni Heat lining, which is what drew me to this pair. I bought them for an upcoming trip to Finland. My hometown has had below freezing temps recently, so I have been testing their warming ability. These keep my feet so warm that they keep the rest of my legs warm. I cannot give it 5 stars because the pair I have may be slightly defective. The left one seems to fit tighter across the top of my foot than the right. By quite a lot. It’s as though the seem was sewn too small. But if I don’t zip them, then they are fine. I am not returning them because they are so warm. I’ll eventually get another, better fitting pair. But these boots are amazing. The footbed is bouncy and like walking on a cloud. Yes, these are what you are looking for. They are what you need.Light snow boot. They are on the narrow side. Order 1/2 up, especially if you have wider than average foot. For people who’ve had plantar fasciitis and have to take extra care on quality of shoes.I tried the boots on in my medium smart wool socks. I’m a size 10 slightly wide feet. I Hardly ever need to order larger than 10. Except for these boots and occasionally target mules and sandals. These boots, size 10.5 fit perfectly. For reference My feet are a bit wider than average. Where in other brands, like cole han and saucony runners, I order a 10 wide which fit slightly loose, but their regular sizes are too narrow and tight across the center/arch of my foot.I would recommend sizing up 1/2 size. The length is short. I have just a little room from the tip of my toes to the end of the shoe. Size 10 my foot would be at the very end of the shoe. With my socks on the boots are snug around the center/arch area of my foot, but not tight. I don’t feel any potential for hot spots wearing these boots being snug and feel they’ll stretch that little bit to not feel too snug. The toe area has space to move my toes. My foot isn’t wider than the bottom of the shoe ,it just barely fits. there isn’t any arch support and the arch area is the snug/narrow for my foot, my foot isn’t hanging over. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable, though a hair narrower I wouldn’t be able to wear these. There isn’t room to put in an orthotic without removing the insert. The insert is thicker than any shoe I own. And I feel this insert is needed for warmth where my orthotics wouldn’t provide. I think the insert being so thick and cushiony it provides enough support that I’m not worried it not having arch support orthotic. Side note: I’ve suffered from plantar fasciitis off and on for over a decade. It’s not bothering me now, I’m easily prone to re injuring it so good support is important. I don’t think these will bother me and they feel comfy. I intend to mainly wear these for walking around NYC. If I run into issues (foot pain/hot spots/ warmth issues) I’ll update this review. Hope this helps people with feet like mine.Holy cow, these boots are amazing!!! I wore them in Mammoth in 10 feet of fresh powder with occasional negative degree temperatures, and my feet were so nice and toasty! They’re rated for -25 F and I believe it. I wore a single pair of wool socks and couldn’t have asked for warmer feet. I even bought those little warming packets just in case, but I never even had to unpack them. These boots were extremely comfortable, the soles provide good grip on snow and ice (I mean nothing will be perfect on ice except maybe metal studs, but these are good!), and the way they’re designed, even if you walk in super high powdery snow and snow falls into the top opening, the bottom part (starting above the ankle) is tapered and the snow never actually falls into the area with your feet, and further, you never feel the cold where the snow is. I had snow pants with the extra powder layer, so if you’re wearing regular pants you might feel it more on your legs, but I doubt you’re climbing in 10 feet of fresh snow with jeans on so it’s a moot point. The snow was so powdery and high that I couldn’t even go snowshoeing, but I did attempt to do a hike wearing these boots, and I was sinking in to about my shoulders with each step. The activity was quickly abandoned, but I spent many hours exploring in the snow and ice, and these boots stood up to the task like a champ. I was worried because they’re a tad shorter than what I originally wanted, but as I stated, the design removes the concerns I had about snow falling in.I usually wear a 7.5-8 and I read reviews about people finding these shoes to be small or uncomfortable, so I went with a size 8. I rarely have problems with shoes, but sometimes I do find certain ballet style flats to be on the tight side until they stretch a little, so I don’t think my feet are extremely narrow. It’s probably the design meant to keep the snow out that some people find challenging because it feels tight slipping your foot in, but once your heel is all the way in, it’s roomy and very nice, and there isn’t any tightness anywhere. Obviously, everyone’s feet are different, but I really love these boots and the way they fit! They say waterproof on them and I have found this to be true. My feet were 100% dry after hours of trudging through really high snow. They’re also lightweight and kind of pretty, so you can wear them anywhere, from a backcountry snow hike to après-ski drinks at the bougiest resorts.Honestly they are sooo cute. Good quality too. I sized up bc of reviews and they ended up being slightly too big. I returned them. I also think they may be too short for deep snow in Chicago so I ended up buying some taller pajars.I think I finally found snow boots that will help preventing slipping/falling on ice. For me, it runs bit small but comfortable and very warm enough to keep the size that I order. I wish the boots diameter is tighter but I guess that’s what NorthFace design (I returned other snow boots because of it). Recommend but you may want to order 1/2 up.I purchased my second pair of these boots since I think they are simply awesome. When I moved back to Canada I needed winter boots that kept me warm whilst walking my dogs daily in extremely cold temperatures. Buying boots that don't contain materials sourced from the depressing and sick animal slavery industry was a must. These boots really are extremely toasty for your feet. They are also extremely easy to put on as you just zip them up and don't have to deal with laces. You have to go a size up as they run small. I wear size 7 and first got an 8 but now I purchased an 8.5. Both work but I got an 8.5 this time since I've worn my mom's 8.5's and they are great with super thick winter socks. I hope they continue to make these boots.I currently own a pair of USA size 8.5 Columbia boots with laces that fit well (see photo) and says Omni-Tech Waterproof Breathable on inside label and also Patented Thermal Reflective Omni-Heat. They are really good boots but I wanted some fast and easy pull on-boots. I recommend ordering 1/2 size larger. They are supposed to be USA size 8.5 but my foot can barely fit in with a struggle. I have returned them UPS and I am going to order a size 9 now, as I really like the boot. But, the boot ares very well made and I am keeping them for sure. They fit a bit tight but I'm sure they will stretch out a bit. The zipper is very easy to move unlike a lot of cheaper boots. The stitching is perfect and I have no doubt, they are waterproof. I am happy with my second purchase of Columbia boots! Thanks Amazon for such fast delivery too. Just in time.UPDATE: After a couple of wearings, they are absolutely PERFECT. I have feet that hurt all the time and with these boots, I feel nothing, which is exactly what I needed.
