UPDATE: It's been another week or so. I also ordered the shorts version of these to wear to work under dresses. I can't swear it's due to the pants, but I have lost at least a half inch off my thighs, possibly closer to 3/4". Lost a couple pounds, but not nearly enough to justify the leg loss. I mean, that's where I can NEVER lose. And I haven't done anything different except wear the pants at least a few hours a day, and I did find a caffeine cream, Bodishape, and have been using that since I used up all the Nivea. The squishy stuff hasn't improved really since the first few days, but the legs are really and truly smaller!==============================Yes, they will make the squishy, ripply fat on your legs look better.No, they will not make it completely, magically disappear.Yes, they will make you sweat.No, they won't make you sweat if you don't move around a bit. Sitting on the couch in the AC won't help. (I know, cuz I tried it:)Yes, they will SLIGHTLY reduce the circumference of your thighs, BUT ONLY IF you have size to lose.No, they won't make you lose multiple inches off your thighs or butt. If you are 20 or 30 years old, and already have 20 inch thighs that just have a little ripple on them, of course they are not going to sweat an inch or two off your thighs. Think, people!Yes, they smell bad when they arrive. Try them on for size, then put them in the washer on gentle cycle, hang to dry. Sweat through them and wash them a couple times, smell virtually disappears. They will always smell slightly of neoprene, but that's what they are made of. Like a wetsuit. If they don't smell a little, you didn't get what you paid for.Yes, they run slightly large. If at all in doubt, go down one size. I am almost 50 years old, 5'10", 145 lbs., 28 waist, 39 hip at the fattest part right at top of my thighs. Wear size 8 dress pants, and size large in cotton workout shorts. I'm a big girl, as my husband says (and I hate). I went by the size chart and ordered a small, though I was a little worried since don't wear a small anything! They fit perfectly, and I'm not too sure I couldn't get in an extra small. These are probably not helpful for people who are tiny or skinny already. Waist is high, which is good for a tall person but i can see where they might roll if you are short-waisted. They actually come a couple inches over my belly button. Even high-waist jeans don't do that. Would think if you are short you might have to have the waist cut down and re-trimmed, which should be very easy to do. (NOTE: my belly is not really my problem, which may be why they come up so high. My problem is my legs. If you have a bit of a belly, then these pants should do well as I suspect they are designed to make room for a little belly and still stay up without a muffin top.)Are they worth it? For me, yes. I have worn them for a week now for at least 3 hours per day, 8-10 hours a couple times. Wear them after work until bedtime, and all day on weekends. I am using Niveo CoQ10 cellulite cream under them. Looking for a good caffeine cream but haven't found one yet that doesn't cost a fortune or have to go to a special store for. I use the cream before I put on the pants, and also once again in the am before work or pm before bed. It's kinda sticky.Yes, my legs are noticeably less squishy looking. Maybe have lost 1/4" though I didn't really expect to lose any inches. At least, I am not as embarrassed to wear shorts to the grocery store as I was a week ago.No, you aren't going to magically transport from a size 14 to a 4, but I do think they help and are worth it. Like I said, I can stand to go to the grocery store in shorts, where I wouldn't have just a week ago. That's worth a lot. Goal is the dreaded swimsuit!I wanted to wait a full month of wearing the product before I gave my review. After using wearing the pants consistently during my workouts for the last 3-4 weeks, I'm happy to say I DID NOT WASTE MY MONEY!!!!Functionality: does what it says it will do. My workouts consisted of an hour or more of cardio (walking on treadmill and elevation, elliptical, stairmaster, or hiking). You can feel the "heat" as your working out. If you really go hard, you can even feel/see the sweat dripping down leg. Slightly disgusting, however, satisfying to know the product was working and fat was burning!Fit/Comfort: Just so you know, I am 5'1 and weigh 185. I'm naturally a large at the bottom. But based of measurement chart, I should've gotten a bigger size up. I wasn't sure which size to get, so I took a risk and went with my normal, I chose a large and it was the perfect fit! Pants are comfortable and fit like any other workout tights. Haven't checked my measurements yet to see how many inches I've lost around mid section and thighs, however, I do know that I have shrunk due to jeans that were once too tight and too uncomfortable to wear not fit with ease!The "Negatives": the pants stink!!!! It is what it is. Becuase of the material in which they are made, there is NO WAY getting around it. Not a bad stinky smell, but a rubber upleasant smell. Directions say to hand wash but, AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!! I simply washed my pants in machined on gentle/delicate cycle and used fabric softner to help with the smell. Let air dry. PROBLEM SOLVED! Now, you still might smell a very small percentage of that stinch while working out due to you moving/sweating, but its nowhere near as strong as when you first get them and its bareble (most peopel stank while working out, just saying, you'll be ok).Also, the pants do make noise while wearing them if you are like me and thighs touch while walking/running. It's the "swish-swoosh" sound you used to hear while wearing wind breaker sweat suites. It didn't really bother me, but I did notice it. However, I always wear regular workout pants OVER my sauna pants just to enhance the heat/sweat. That minimized the sound drastially because now its cotton or whatever normal material rubbing up together rather than the material the pants are made off to cause the noise. Once again, easy fix AND you get a more intense workout.Overall, satisfied with my purchase!!!!
