Yeah, these are a little reflective - which is really nice. They can pull off dark colors without being drab at all and kinda glow a little in the direct light. It kicks things up a notch. Also, they are just plain comfy - with nice big hoods. Heck, I'm sleeping in mine.I think the point of the mylar like stuff is that you don't need heavy material backing it up, which is what makes this hoodie so versatile. You can wear it in warmer weather and it breathes, but zip it up and your body heat kicks back at you like your are snuggled in with friends. Sure, it leaches some out in the wind - it's not supposed to be for storms, but all you have to do is put a nice jacket over top and let that be your wind or water barrier and there you go - warmer than you would be without it. And it looks good!Every sweatshirt I own is an XL, this XL was huge. I think the main difference is the lack of elastic in the waistband. I'm 5'8" 180Lbs. The XL looked like a dress on me (Slight exaggeration) Although otherwise fit well. I'm sending this back for a large. I can't say much as to the quality as I've only wore it once. The hoodie looks great, feels great, the fancy heat system seems to work great especially considering how thin and light weight it is. I will update this after I get my Large and put some wear and tear on it.I am a female, but I wanted an oversized warm hoodie, not fitted as most Columbia models for women. Really fantastic. I was concerned about the glossy fabric to look cheap, but it looks good. Also, I love Omniheat, it is great, you can just zip it up and it is really warm, or keep it open when the weather is warmer. Really good for the fall weather in my area, where it gets quite cold at night, but rather warm in the day.it's a good product. warm and comfortable . the only thing not good enough is that it's a little bit hard. not soft enough.Bought this for my husband who hates the bulk of a winter coat so just wears a hooded sweatshirt all winter long. He loves this because it is a hoodie only warmer. The omni heat really does work! And the price was AWESOME!bought for my husband to wear to work.....he has retired it now for the winter omni heat quilted, which is light as a feather.....he likes them both....he sized up in bothThis kept me warm enough while running last winter. The inside of the hoodie has a heat reflective material that really works. I plan on buying this in other colors.I really like this Hoodie. It is warm but not too bad. Light and not bulky. I were it a lot at wok in the arctic.
