INCREASE EFFECTIVENESS of HAIR DEEP CONDITIONING: Heat helps the conditioner penetrate the hair follicle much more effectively, taking your hair deep conditioning and oil treatments to the next level. Simply place in microwave for a little over a 1 minute and gently deliver heat to hair for 30 minutes.
CONSISTENT and EVEN HEAT DISTRIBUTION: Our unique design and placement of the linseed a.k.a. flaxseed inside each bonnet ensures heat radiating through the entire cap evenly and gently. Linseed is one of the best options in retaining moisture and can be re-warmed time and time again.
PORTABLE and CORDLESS: Lightweight and portability allows for flexibility and freedom while conditioning. Great for traveling and can also be used as a small warming pack or mini warming pillow.
ECO FRIENDLY: Reusable and can be reheated time and time again.
HIGH QUALITY, SOFT MATERIAL: Very comfortable design with outer material made from MICROFIBER COTTON for a soft, comfy feel and NYLON for a natural stretch to fit most head sizes, hair volumes and lengths.
When I first got this I was taken back but the size. I for sure thought there’s no way this is going to fit over all this hair! I gave it a hot anyway. After applying the conditioner and plastic cap I warmed it up in the microwave per instructions in 30 sec intervals until it reached my desired temp. (TIP: a small cup of water in the microwave while warming it helps keep it moist). It actually fit over my head- I have a big head and LOTS of coils hair- I loved how warm and comforting it was. My only issue was that the warmth lasted only about 15 min so I had to reheat. Overall this is a good alternative for when you’re short on time or don’t want to be attached to a cord or outlet. Will def keep for those busy wash days! This heating cap is a suitable alternative to sitting under a dryer. Does it get super warm? A little bit, but doesn't hold the heat for long. What I did appreciate about this product was the portability it provided while deep conditioning my hair. I felt it stayed warm (mind you not hot), but lukewarm for about 15 minutes. I wanted a longer "heat" treatment so I did reheat the cap once it cooled down entirely, which occurred after about 20ish minutes. I liked how several plastic caps were included to use with the heat cap, so that was a plus, as there wasn't an additional purchase I needed to make to use the heat cap. Instructions were clear, simple and easy to follow. Basically, I definitely be using again, but I did knock one star since it didn't heat up a lot or maintain the heat for that long.Used for the first time today. Heated for 1 minute in the microwave and it was perfect both in temperature and size on my head. I think I have an averaged sized female head. Cap was noticeably warm for at least 10 minutes. Took off to re-heat after 15 minutes and my hair was still warm underneath, so I probably didn’t have to reheat yet. I could heat it more/longer -just didn’t want it too hot the first time trying. I think I’ll be very happy with this product. This is the 3rd cap I’ve purchased in the last two years. All similar in cost. I had been using a great gel cap that lasted for years but is no longer available. So my first choice was to buy a new gel-filled cap. They must be using a different substance now b/c the gel compartments started exploding in the microwave almost immediately. Yuk. The manufacturer’s optional heating method was to warm in boiling water. Too much time and trouble. 2nd cap was electric, made of thick plastic and tied under the chin. Besides having to remain hooked near an outlet, the cap was oddly shaped and didn’t fit snugly on my head. Tying tighter choked me and it still didn’t fit properly. Also, neither cap got hot enough nor stayed hot. Will not get another one that uses gel or electricity. In all honesty I had basically given up on finding anything and had resorted to occasionally using a heated, moist towel wrap or conditioning at the hairdresser alongside a cut. But recently, a friend had told me about using flaxseed or rice as a filler for heating caps. Had also seen it on Pinterest. I was still skeptical but decided to try the Glow by Day Conditioning Cap. I cannot express how surprised and satisfied I am with my purchase: 1. the flaxseed-linseed filler heats quickly and evenly, 2. seeds are natural so no concerns about gel chemicals, 3. the cap is amply-sized, 4. It’s well-made with a strong elastic edge and quality fabric, 5. feels very comfortable, like a ski cap or hat, 6. you can move about the house and almost forget you’re wearing it, 7. It also looks good. You could probably even go out with it on and not raise eyes! There really are no cons except no plastic cap is included. But you can purchase inexpensive packages of disposable caps or get a thicker, washable one. I have very long, bleached hair and am 50+ so I need frequent hair conditioning to keep it looking good. I also have a large head lol so if you’re small-headed with short, cropped hair, the cap may not fit as well. I’ve used it twice now with my regular post-shampoo conditioner and only for 15 minutes b/c I’ve been in a rush. My blond hair has come out truly shiny, smooth, no split ends and easy to style. Can’t imagine it being any better with a deeper conditioning product and capped for 30+ minutes. A 100% winner.Wonderful idea. Great heat cap until unbeknownst to me it got burned in the microwave from too much use. Not knowing a hole was burned in the cap, I ended up with flaxseeds falling out on my floor. I had to clean up the mess. Will not buy the cap again for the fear of another hole getting burned in it from the microwave. I did follow the heating instructions but did ended up with having a burn hole in the cap.Works great. Get a bit hot for comfort sometimes. Follow the recommended heating instructions or it will explode on you!!Used once so far but made a big difference in deep conditioning my daughters hair! Good productSimilar to the Hot Head cap. Worth the price.
